According to YG’s personnel on April 4, prior to her debut in America, she renewed her contract with the agency for smooth overseas promotional activities before she renewed it as a member of 2NE1.
The personnel also added that 2NE1 is looking to renew their contract in early or mid next year. But CL is doing it in advance for stable music activities in the US when she makes a debut. This will help CL gain a momentum for overseas activities. YANG HYUN SUK, who planned her overseas debut since she first became an artist, will be supporting her fully.
CL is attracting much attention not only in Korea but overseas as well. Apart from her fluent English, she is also familiar with the American culture, and many artists in the region are eager to work with her. She is the only Asian artist who was invited by Scooter Braun and artists from overseas.
From March 27 to 29, CL was in Miami’s Bayfront Park for 3 days to be part of Ultra Music Festival. She performed with Skrillex, Puff Daddy and Diplo for 100,000 music fans. Working with such big artists overseas proves just how talented she is.
All eyes are on the talented CL to see how she will grow together with YG from here.
