No, Lay’s mascot will not be replacing him as a member of EXO.
Following his absence from a press conference at SMTOWN’s Coex Atrium, EXO’s Lay has publically reassured fans that he will not be leaving the group anytime soon.
Lay announced on a music TV programs that he is completely dedicated to group. He said, “My core is EXO, I like being with the members the most.”
Lay missed the earlier “EXODUS” press conference on March 29 due to a scheduling conflict with his forthcoming Chinese movie Oh My God, which lead fans to speculate as to whether his absence had more serious connotations. As you can imagine, the rumours started to fly, even despite the fact Lay made a video call during the conference to say, “I’m really sorry (I could not be there), I really wanted to see everybody. I miss the members too.”
Thankfully Lay has set the record straight in case anyone was concerned. #Phew
